IMDC 2025 Winners

The 22nd International Conference of Doctors of Medicine was held on 19-21 November 2025 at the Educational Centre of the Medical Faculty in Hradec Králové.


The following awards were presented during the conference:

Best Lecture in Experimental Research:

  1. Veselá  Šárka (1st Faculty of Medicine, Charles University, Czech Republic): A Novel Cellular Model for Investigating Experimental Therapy in Alpha-1-antitrypsin Deficiency

  2. Leonard Sophie Victoria Louise (Hull York Medical School, University of Hull, United Kingdom): Oxygen Concentration Plays a Fundamental Role in the Regulation of Platelet Activity

  3. Colborn Lauren Brooke (Hull York Medical School, University of Hull, United Kingdom): Spatial Transcriptomic Profiling Reveals IL1β⁺ Macrophages as Major Drivers of Senescence in Chronic Wounds


Best Lecture in Clinical Research:

  1. Luyten Julien Antonio (Faculty of Health, Medicine & Life Sciences, Maastricht University, Netherland): Safe surgery for perihilar cholangiocarcinoma without preoperative biliary drainage: A retrospective multicentre analysis of data from 2067 patients

  2. Benada Matyas (Faculty of Medicine in Hradec Králové, Charles University, Czech Republic): Retrospective Analysis of Pharmacokinetically Guided Busulfan Dosing in Two Different Dosing Regimens in Patients Undergoing Conditioning for Allogeneic Stem Cell Transplantation

  3. Blichová Tímea (Jessenius Faculty of Medicine in Martin, Comenius University in Bratislava, Slovakia): Association of HLA Alleles with IgA Nephropathy and Its Recurrence After Kidney Transplantation


Best Poster:

Speakers Award: Best Lecture:

First place in each category was rewarded with a cash prize.
